Import questions from another tool (QTI, Moodle, etc.)
Evalmee does not read QTI files directly: here are the available import formats.

No, Evalmee does not directly read QTI files (an exchange standard used by several platforms, including Canvas and Blackboard). However, you can import your questions in other formats, depending on the source tool.
If you’re coming from Moodle
Export your questions in Moodle XML format, then import them into Evalmee. Detailed instructions and a list of supported question types can be found in Importing a Topic in Moodle XML Format and Importing Question Banks in Moodle XML Format.
If you’re coming from Canvas, Blackboard, Wooclap, or another tool
Use an Excel file:
In Evalmee, open your exam editor and click Import, then click Course (or Question Bank to populate a random selection).
Select Excel (.xls, .xlsx, or .csv file).
Click "Download a template" and choose the appropriate template (for example, "Simple Exam").
Copy your questions into it—either from an export from your tool or entered manually.
Drag and drop the completed file into the import window.
Importing a test replaces the existing questions in the exam.
The template columns are detailed in Importing a Test in Excel Format and Importing Question Banks in Excel Format.
From a Word document, PDF, or image: Smart Import
If you can export or print your exam from your source tool, Smart Import (in beta) converts it using AI, without going through Excel:
In your exam editor, click Import, then click Exam.
Select Smart Import.
Upload your file: Word, PDF, Excel, or image. “Evalmee” analyzes the document to identify sections, exercises, and questions, then imports it into the exam.
Review the imported exam: check the correct answers and the grading rubric before opening the exam.
Smart Import is available for exam questions, not for question banks. Like other exam question imports, it replaces existing questions.
Another option: copy and paste text
In the same window, the “Evalmee,” “Markdown,” and “AMC Text” options allow you to paste a test written in the specified syntax. See Importing a Test in Text Format.
