The "Code" question asks participants to write code in a suitable editor (with syntax highlighting and line numbers). Grading is done manually. This question type is still in beta.

Create a Code Question

  1. On the Create tab, click Add at the bottom of the section and select Code.

  2. Enter the instructions in the Question Name field.

  3. Select the language from the Language list (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, SQL, Java, C/C++, HTML, CSS, PHP, JSON, Markdown, or plain text). This is the language participants will see.

  4. Enable Allow autocomplete if you want the editor to offer suggestions (not available for plain text).

You can prepare a grading rubric (criteria and model answer) to facilitate grading.
