3. Anti-Cheating Measures

3.1. Closed-book

Full Screen Required

Require students to take the exam in full-screen mode

Screen Exit Alert

Alert the student if they exit the exam screen

Screen Recording

The exam will be accessible only on a computer, not on a tablet or smartphone.

Screenshots are taken when the student:

• leaves the window during the exam

• uses another app

• exits full-screen mode

• when the use of a suspicious browser extension is detected

If the “Full Screen Required” option is enabled, the interval between screenshots can be set to 2 seconds (45 seconds otherwise).

You can disable screen recording on a per-student basis if needed: Disable screen recording for a student

Screen recordings are visible on the student’s exam page, in the timeline of their exam progress.

3.2. Open-book

Anti-Plagiarism Tool

Enable the Turnitin service to detect similarities with online sources, other students’ responses, or AI-generated content.
Available only for responses longer than 20 words.

5. Results

Viewable Grade

When you share grades and exam papers via email, you can choose whether to display the grade to the participant. This is useful if, for example, you want to share their graded exam paper but without the point breakdown and final grade because you haven’t finalized the grading rubric yet.

Marking Available

Students will be able to view their graded exams once the exam is over. If “Grade Viewable” is enabled, they will be able to see the points earned for each question.

Marking After Each Question

The grading for each question page will be displayed before moving on to the next ones.
You can use this option for formative exams.

The “Free Navigation” option must be disabled to enable this feature.

6. Grading

Grading Scale

To define the scale for the final grade that will be displayed on the test and in the “Notes” tab.

Passing Levels

To define the passing levels to be displayed in the “Notes” tab and to the participant if you share their exam online with them.

7. Multiple-Choice Question Scoring Scale

To define the rules for calculating points on multiple-choice questions.

Live Chat

Enable chat to allow students to ask questions during the exam and send announcements to all students. You must remain on the exam page to receive notifications.

Email Notifications

Receive an email as soon as a student finishes the exam.
