Import questions from another tool (QTI, Moodle…)
Evalmee does not read QTI files directly: here are the available import formats.

No, Evalmee does not read QTI files directly (an exchange standard used by several platforms, including Canvas or Blackboard). However, you can import your questions through other formats, depending on the source tool.
If you are coming from Moodle
Export your questions in Moodle XML format, then import them into Evalmee. The detailed steps and supported question types are in Import an exam subject in Moodle XML format and Import pools in Moodle XML format.
If you are coming from Canvas, Blackboard, Wooclap, or another tool
Go through an Excel file:
In Evalmee, open your exam editor and click Import, then Subject (or Pool to feed a random draw).
Choose Excel (.xls, .xlsx, or .csv file).
Click Download template and choose the suitable template (for example Subject only).
Copy your questions into it, taken from your tool’s export or typed by hand.
Drag and drop the completed file into the import window.
Importing a subject replaces the existing questions of the exam.
The template columns are detailed in Import an exam subject from Excel and Import pools in Excel format.
From a Word file, a PDF, or an image: Smart Import
If you can export or print your subject from your original tool, Smart Import (in beta) converts it using AI, without going through Excel:
In your exam editor, click Import, then Subject.
Choose Smart Import.
Drop your file: Word, PDF, Excel, or image. Evalmee analyzes the document to find the sections, exercises, and questions, then imports it into the exam.
Review the imported subject: check the correct answers and the grading scheme before opening the exam.
Smart Import is available for the subject, not for pools. Like the other subject imports, it replaces the existing questions.
Another option: copy and paste text
In the same window, the Evalmee, Markdown, and AMC Text options let you paste a subject written in the indicated syntax. See Import an exam subject in Text format.
